Summative

Examples:

Summative assessments are designed to measure learner achievement. They allow students to demonstrate their ability to use newly acquired knowledge and skills.

Some standardized summative assessments measure knowledge using quantitative measures. Qualitative summative assessments enable students to demonstrate their ability to apply new learning in creative and authentic ways through performance tasks.

Summative assessments, both quantitative and qualitative, provide data for determining growth and progress which are used in grade reporting.
